Dizzy Dominos

To play this activity, you need two to three sets of dominos and a hula hoop or frisbee for each team. The goal is for each team to have the least number of dominos in their pile when time is called. The hula hoops are positioned into a large square or rectangle. A teacher can have the game last anywhere from 3-5 minutes.

  1. To begin, split an equal number of dominos to each team. Place the dominos in the hula hoop or Frisbee. If possible, you want the same number of students in each group.
  2. Each student selects a domino and then completes the activities. For example, if they get a domino that has 1 dot and 2 dots then they complete the activities that correspond to the number 1 and 2 on the activity card.

  4. Once a student completes the activity, he/she runs and places the domino into another groups pile. Then he/she runs and picks up another domino from their groups pile.
  5. There are three versions of this activity. Dizzy Dominios 1 contains the easiest jump rope moves, Dizzy Dominos 2 are intermediate moves, and Dizzy Dominos 3 are the more advanced moves. There is also a blank Dizzy Dominos card for you to be able write in your own jump rope moves.
