Jump Rope Assessments
Assessments are used by teachers to measure student learning of a specific content. Some of the ways assessments can be used include: (1) to hold students accountable for what they are learning, (2) as part of a student’s grade, (3) as a pretest to measure what the students know before beginning a jump rope lesson, and (4) to measure the effectiveness of your own instruction.
The content on this page contains assessments that can be used by the teacher or the students. A checklist is a type of assessment in which teachers or students determine if a task is completed correctly. An exit sheet is an informal cognitive assessment. Several exit sheets were created for jump rope. A teacher will need to allocate about 3-5 minutes for students to complete the exit sheets. The answers for the exit sheets are included on the Teaching Jump Rope page located within the Information link.
