NOTE: This scholarship application is separate from any others filed with James Madison University and is required for consideration for a Second Century Scholarship.

All applicants must enter JMU as freshmen in Fall 2012 and meet the following criteria:
- SAT ≥ 1200 for the math and verbal combined score, or ACT score ≥ 27
- GPA ≥ 3.5 ((performance in science, technology, and mathematics courses will receive additional consideration)
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to study in a STEM area
- Declaration of major in a designated STEM area (Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Engineering, Geographic Science, Geology, Information Analysis, Integrated Science and Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics).
