In collaboration with your academic department, The Bridging the Valley: A STEP ahead for STEM Majors Project is working to increase the numbers of students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. By sharing information with us about your opportunity while at JMU, we hope to provide more assistance for students exploring out of the classroom experiences. This will help educate students about future career opportunities which we feel will encourage students to complete their STEM majors.

"I gained knowledge about potential future careers. I brushed up on my algebra skills. I learned my way around campus. I gained a few wonderful friends in the process.
I got the chance to get my feet wet in terms of preparing myself for the college experience. Being exposed to potential professional fields was awesome. It was really important to me to see what I could be doing 10 years down the road if I stick with the "difficult stuff."
