Portable Exhaust Gas Emissions Analyzer
The portable exhaust gas analyzer would underscore the importance of environmental pollution in our quest for alternative energy and would be used both in the educational outreach program as well as the for fuel research efforts. The portability aspect is key for educational outreach, as this analyzer could be used to compare the exhaust emissions of conventional vehicles to JMU's Alternative Fuel Vehicles. On the research side, the exhaust gas analyzer would be used to evaluate fuels produced from a variety of different feedstock. The cost of a portable exhaust gas analyzer is estimated at $30,000
