Biodiesel Blazer
An old diesel-powered Chevy Blazer was recently donated to JMU's Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program. Facilities Management provided the labor necessary to repair the engine, we are in the process of converting it to biodiesel, however, it is still in need of new tires, brakes, and shocks in order to pass Virginia State Inspection. The idea with this project is to adapt the engine to run on biodiesel and use it to pull the educational outreach trailer. This vehicle is also in need of a professional paint job (currently camouflage). The estimated cost to support this project is $5,000.
