Thank you for your help and interest in assignmentbackpack!
We had over 100 backpacks donated to date and have DELIVERED backpacks and supplies to elementary school children, teens, and preschoolers in Gautier, Pascagoula, and Biloxi Mississippi, as well as to evacuees in central Virginia. We are in need of additional backpacks and monetary donations to help the backpacks include just what the children need (Go to JMU Foundation, specify Child and Family account number 14323).
Please contact us if you know of some children who have been placed in the Shenandoah Valley or central Virginia region and could benefit from receiving a backpack.
We are continuing our collection through December 10, 2005.
